Port Lincoln 60km Ultra Marathon
Story
Hi there!
60km. That's the challenge we are taking on — and it's a genuinely huge, slightly terrifying distance for someone who only started running socially.
We are doing it for a bigger reason, though: We are fundraising for the Neurosurgical Research Foundation, a foundation that changes outcomes for people facing some of the most serious neurological conditions. It's a cause we genuinely believe in, and want to support.
Every dollar you give goes directly to NRF and is tax-deductible — your donation has a real, lasting effect long after the race.
Here's how you can help:
Donate — every bit adds up, no amount too small
Share this page — half the battle is just getting it in front of the right people
Cheer us on — it genuinely helps on the hard training days
Thanks for backing us, each donation makes the distance a little less scary.
NeuroSurgical Research Foundation
The NeuroSurgical Research Foundation funds world-class medical research into diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. We support researchers working to discover new treatments, improve patient outcomes and save the lives of children and adults affected by neurosurgical conditions.
Our research includes:
• Brain tumours – developing better treatments and understanding how cancer invades the brain.
• Parkinson's disease – advancing research to diagnose earlier and slow disease progression.
• Stroke, brain haemorrhage and aneurysms – improving surgical treatments and outcomes.
• Spinal cord injury – improving surgical treatment, outcomes and quality of life following injury.
• Traumatic brain injury – developing treatments to reduce life-threatening brain swelling.
